The Perfect Plate is designed to hold 100% of your daily nutritional needs. However, the plate was not designed to hold sweets or calorie loaded beverages. Sweets (pie, cake, ice cream, cookies, etc…) are not included. Sweets are so high in calories and have such variations, it makes it nearly impossible to consistently measure. Sweets can not be used with the plate. Beverages (soda, juice, coffee, tea, alcohol) are also not included. Again, the plate can not properly measure the calories in beverages. For weight loss success, it is best to drink only water. However, if you enjoy coffee in the morning or a soda with your lunch, try to limit your consumption to 8 ounces and preferably a diet soda, unsweetened tea or coffee with non-fat milk and sugar substitute. Your last meal must be consumed before 7:00 PM each day.
IF YOU ARE A TYPE II DIABETIC
If you suffer from diabetes and your physician has urged you to lose weight, the Perfect Plate is right for you. Doctors today are recommending for Type II Diabetics to consume 1,800 calories per day. This consists of three, 500 calorie meals and two 150 calorie snacks. The Perfect Plate is the perfect solution for this recommendation. The meal plate holds approximately 500 calories and the snack plate holds approximately two 150 calorie snacks (one for a.m. and one for p.m.). As you see, the Perfect Plate meets doctor recommendations. The Perfect Plate has been designed to work with any foods, but if you suffer from Type II diabetes, you have specific dietary challenges and may need more guidance. The Perfect Plate has been designed to offer this to you. Fill the larger compartment with your favorite entree. Fill the two smaller compartments with your favorite vegetables and fruit. By consuming 3 meals per day and two snacks you have met the recommendations. But don’t forget, the plate is not designed to hold sweets or beverages. A good weight loss program must be complimented with a fitness program. This does not mean you need to join a fitness club or buy expensive exercise equipment. Your new lifestyle should incorporate 30- 50 minutes of daily cardiovascular exercise. This can be achieved by walking, biking, gardening or by playing your favorite sport. You can even walk 15 minutes during your lunch break and walk another 15 minutes after dinner. Being fit and healthy only requires two simple steps.
